๐งฌ Hybridization ๐งฌ
Zed Zeroth’s ground-breaking “hybridization” mechanic takes ๐Coordinals technology to a whole new level, making Flowers4Finney the first-ever breedable Ordinals collection. When mandoshi flowers are transferred together, they hybridize, acquiring new traits from each breeding partner. By combining more complex flowers and/or a greater number of flowers, you can create your own beautifully intricate mandala artwork, entirely unique to the specific combinations you choose.
Handy tip: Use double-click to cycle between the Cultivar, Progenitor, and Population views.

Before Hybridization

After Hybridization

โ๏ธ Distillation โ๏ธ
Mandoshi flowers remain hybridized while they are transferred together, but they also retain their original characteristics (raw ingredients) internally. Separating them recreates the original pure flowers (distillation/purification) allowing you to re-hybridize (remix) them with other flowers in entirely new combinations!
After Distillation

๐ Chaindrops ๐
Yet another breakthrough mechanic, chaindrops are fully decentralized upgrades that will be applied to the collection forever, directly dropped from the bitcoin blockchain. Every time a Rodarmor Rare Sat is mined (and every “difficulty adjustment” after the Year 2140) if your flower’s collection number appears in that blockhash then it will grow an extra “whorl” of petals. This means that roughly every two weeks, a random selection of flowers will grow larger, entirely autonomously. Larger flowers (with more whorls) can be combined to create more complex hybrids. Note that for this collection, these “raredrops” began with Block 840672, the first rareblock after the 4th Bitcoin Halving.
There are more details on how the flowers grow here:

๐ Power-Ups ๐
This final revolutionary mechanic, “Postage Power-Ups”, was inspired by @c12‘s @PlanetaryPrimes collection’s padding mechanic. While chaindrops are assigned by random blockchain activity, postage power-ups allow you, the owner, to grow your flowers manually. The more sats that you attach to your flower (usually known as postage or padding), the more petals your flower will grow. You can also choose the colors of the petals by attaching different numbers of sats.

๐ฆ PROVENANCE ๐ฆ
Flowers4Finney are inscribed onto one million satoshis from the legendary Block 78. This was the first bitcoin block mined by someone other than Satoshi Nakamoto, mined on 11th January 2009 by none other than cypherpunk and bitcoin pioneer Hal Finney himself. Each flower is inscribed onto a satoshi featuring its own unique collection number. For example, Flower #123 is inscribed onto Sat 393999-123-000.
Flowers4Finney are also all children of Mother Mandoshi, the rare 3D Block 78 Palindrome 393990099393, sourced by esteemed sat-hunter @btcsplitter.

๐โ RUNNING BTC ๐โ
With the exception of Satoshi Nakamoto, whose identity remains unknown, Hal Finney was arguably the most influential early contributor to the development of the bitcoin network. Finney mined his first bitcoin block just eight days after Satoshi mined Block 0. Hal was a huge proponent of technology as a means to empower people, using cryptography and the blockchain to enhance privacy and improve personal freedoms: “The computer can be used as a tool to liberate and protect people, rather than to control them.”
Finney is one of Zed Zeroth’s personal heroes, and Zed created the Flowers4Finney collection in Finney’s honor. Finney was cryopreserved in 2014 after living with the neurodegenerative disease ALS for five years.
50% of all funds raised from the initial sale of this collection will be donated to the Running Bitcoin campaign, set up by Hal’s wife, Fran Finney, in order to raise money to help develop a cure for ALS.
The donations raised will be shown here:

๐พ Tron Tribute ๐พ
Finney wasn’t just a cypherpunk, he was also a gamer, game developer, and a collectibles enthusiast.
In the 1980s, he developed a number of video games, including Adventures of Tron on the Atari 2600. As part of this collection’s tribute to Finney, the colors used for the mandoshi flowers are from the Adventures of Tron color palette.
In the 1990s, Finney predicted the advent of “cryptographic trading cards” and “cryptographic arts”. He would likely have been fascinated by the development of bitcoin collectibles and appreciated the gamification of bitcoin demonstrated in this honorary collection.
