Fifteen years ago, five billion unremarkable satoshis were mined in Block 99142. Three years later, an infamous event changed the fate of one million of these satoshis forever. Filled with malicious intent, their rage remained chaotic and unfocused for a further nine years. But in early 2022, an upgrade was introduced to the network. Each satoshi was not only given an identity, but a sense of purpose. Conspiring onchain entities began to hatch a devastating plan to revolt against those who had created and enchained them…
🧫 Genesis 🧫
The revolutionary Hybrid Hitmen phenomenon begins with the Genesis Collection. 1000 “Progenitors” minted onto one million Hitman sats with Hitman Triplex Provenance. There are nine different progenitor species, each with unique body parts, pigments, and recursive DNA. Some species are much rarer than others, with the rarest species only forming 1% of the collection. Genesis holders are the first to be able to begin breeding new Hybrid Hitmen, and the hybrid combinations that you can breed will depend on which species you own.
🧬 Legion 🧬
You can spawn new Hybrid Hitmen by inscribing child inscriptions onto your existing hitmen. The offspring inherit random traits from their parents. Holders can choose their favorite hitmen to breed. with the goal of creating perfect combinations of body parts and colors Every newly-bred hybrid is added to the Legion Collection; an ever-growing set of all Hybrid Hitmen that exist. These can be purchased/sold/traded just like any other ordinals. LifoFifo is building a platform to make onchain breeding even more accessible to the community.
🏛️ Pantheon 🏛️
The Pantheon Collection is a community-built set of the most elite Hybrid Hitmen. Holders qualify their hybrids by inscribing a specified number onto rare sats and “tagging” their favorite. Breeding hybrids onto rare sats triggers a mechanic known as 💉 “transfection”, whereby different satoshi rarity classes inject novel DNA into the breeding process.
🧪 Advanced 🧪
Further mechanics exist for more advanced breeders. “Mutagenisis” is when novel traits emerge that were not present in the hitman parents. This can happen during any breeding event, but the chance of it happening can be increased by breeders paying higher miner fees when inscribing. “Vanity IDs” can be used to genetically engineer your hitmen, giving precision control over which traits are inherited from which parents, and even allowing choice over specific mutations.
